ULTRASOUND BY PHASE ARRANGEMENT
The Ultrasound Array of Phases is basically an arrangement of multiple piezoelectric crystals ranging from 16 elements, 32 elements, 64 elements and 128 elements, which are controlled by a software which calculates the focal laws so that the beams can be deflected AND focused. to scan electronically to obtain a digitized image in real time and
shown in different screen presentations (S-Scan, B-Scan, C-Scan, A-Scan) which improves the detection and characterization of discontinuities that are analyzed accurately and immediately.
This inspection can be carried out on components that are in service, allowing to know their integrity without the need to take the facilities or their manufacturing processes out of service.
This technique offers significant advantages over single probe and conventional radiography methods. These benefits include:
